The Cancer Awareness Development Workers have been promoting Cervical Screening Awareness Week. The national awareness campaign highlighted that cervical screening is the best protection against cervical cancer and ran from the 10th to the 16th of June. This message was promoted through cancer information stalls and cancer awareness sessions and covered a variety of venues, including health centres, community groups and local organisations. Members of the public engaged with the campaign and were provided with information on cervical screening to encourage uptake.
