Social Enterprise of the Year

Following a nomination by one of our suppliers, the Alliance was shortlisted for Social Enterprise of the Year in the Sunderland Echo Portfolio Business Awards 2016.  This is a tremendous achievement for an organisation that is only 18 months old, though unfortunately we were pipped at the post by Back on the Map.

Many thanks to the team, and all our members who’ve supported us over the last year, without whom we wouldn’t have achieved a fraction of our success.  We look forward to another year of going from strength to strength, and who knows, perhaps we’ll be more successful next year.

Head of Federated Clinical Services

To support the continued success of the Alliance, we have recently recruited to a new role, Head of Federated Clinical Services.  This role will be responsible for all clinically related projects operating across multiple practices.  This will include, for example:

  • Clinical Pharmacy
  • Ambulatory ECG
  • Map of Medicine
  • Integrated Teams
  • Extended Access

Tracey Teasdale, who many of you will already know well, was successful with her application and will commence in her new position from 31st October.  I’m sure you will join me in wishing her well.

Office Move

For anyone coming to visit us at the BIC, please note we’ve moved office.  We’re now located in the main building, on the second floor.  Just ask at reception and they’ll point you in then right direction.
