Following Dr Karthik Gellia’s election to the CCG Exec, he has resigned his position as a director of the Alliance to avoid any potential conflicts of interest.
Karthik has been with the Alliance since the beginning and has been a key member of the team that has established the successful organisation we have today. Many thanks to Karthik for all his hard work.
Elections will be held in October this year to replace directors who have stood down, and to appoint where directors retire by rotation. In the interim, Dr Rory Mackinnon has been appointed to the Board to ensure there remains adequate clinical expertise and representation.
If Rory, and Dr James Bell who was appointed on the same basis following Dr Fadi Khalil’s resignation, wishes to remain a director post September 2016, they will, of course, need to be elected by the membership at that time.
