Sunderland GP Alliance launches website to assist GPs Practices.
Since its launch 8 months ago Sunderland GP Alliance, a GP Membership body, has gone from strength to strength with 42 GP Practices already joining. It is one of the emerging federations that helps GP practices respond to the changing NHS landscape.
The Alliance has been appointed to deliver key projects throughout the City of Sunderland. One such project is the Career Start Programme, that helps with the recruitment of newly and recently qualified GPs in the Sunderland area. The new website will be a vital tool to communicate the benefits of the scheme.
Jon Twelves, Chief Executive of the Alliance said: “It is fantastic to see how far the Alliance has developed in such a short period of time. The launch of our website represents another milestone in our strategy to help GPs in Sunderland work collaboratively at scale.”
The website will continue to be developed over the coming months to include a member area allowing Member GP Practices to purchase key services online at preferential rates. Passing on the bulk buying power of the Alliance to Member GPs is only one of the benefits on offer.
Jon continues: “The Alliance aims to promote ‘Working Together for Patients & Practices” and the website is an important element to help achieve this. By working together GPs in Sunderland will be in a better position to meet the challenges faced by the ever complex NHS healthcare demands.”
